Disclaimer: Time travel cost sharing arrangements and time cops are science fiction concepts and/or speculation. The idea behind a time travel cost sharing arrangement is that people from the past may be periodically attacked from the future and the damage may be perpetrated under the cover of a long list of excuses. Sometimes descendants of such people may band together to form a time travel cost sharing arrangement to find out who else from the people of the past was also attacked, combine their resources with the descendants of such people and then hire health and security personnel from the future to provide health care and security as well as restoration services. This is also a halfway point to the idea of time cops/sheriffs/security guards.
The kinds of people who will pay for a time travel cost sharing arrangement are as follows:
- Descendants of the person from the past who was attacked from the future
- The descendants of the other people from the past who have also been deemed to have been attacked from the future
- The descendants of the nation of origin of the person from the past
- The descendants of the current nation the person from the past lives in
- The nation of the descendants of the person from the past
- Descendants of people the person from the past has helped or invested in
Some of the personnel hired by a time travel cost sharing arrangement, which could be organized much like a group rental arrangement such as a strata may include:
- Battlefield counsellors (psychologists who airdrop in advice and pieces of wisdom for people from the past even as they are attacked by the bad guys from the future)
- Security guards (security staff who keep the area clear of shifties and other bad people from the future)
- Doctors and nurses (medical staff who heal the people from the past of various issues)
- Detectives (people who investigate the circumstances of the case to find evidence for a potential class action lawsuit or other lawsuit against the bad guys from the future)
- Lawyers (people who fight the time travel criminal case in court to try to recover the money spent on the time travel cost sharing arrangement)
- Monitors (people who together with AI make sure all is going well with the person from the past and his or her family)
- Chaplains (religious professionals from the religion of the person from the past who may help the person from the past figure out what is going on spiritually)
The implications of time travel cost sharing arrangements:
- If you have children and you invest in them, you could get an extra life like in many well known video games if you get attacked from the future
- If you invest in the next generation or the future of the human species in any way, you could also get an extra life in the same way
