In this world-building scenario, the devil’s wife gene edit is the most feared gene edit in the near future and it attacks women, causing rabies-like effects in some women. Women in the deep future are terrified of it and there is a situation where all the gene editor nations in the future are wiped out by timeline technology used by sequence time cops to keep them happy. Deep future women are often likely to equip men in particular with special skills and special giftings to hunt the devil’s wife gene edit and the gene editors involved and reveal them. Vanellopes are always granted going forward to families where it has been found.
In this world-building scenario, the affected Y chromosome line is usually allowed to keep the gene edit until detected as it is 10% or less effective on men, while the women are healed of the gene edit right away. The devil’s wife gene edit likes to bribe men and looks like something else so that it can stay hidden, and it intends to transfer to daughters at a later point to attack them. The Y chromosome line is handled this way so that the timeline authorities are eventually informed and take action based on the Y chromosome line and what happens later. There are lots of branching out lines that are always Vanellopes.
In this world-building scenario, women of the future always tend to want to be Vanellopes because they want to get away from the gene edits like this, and they freak out if they cannot be Vanellopes. Getting in the way of them becoming Vanellopes becomes a particularly life threatening endeavour and they could accuse you of wanting them to be devil women if they cannot be Vanellopes.
